AN ENCOUNTER WITH MY ENGLISH TEACHER
English Conversation About COLLEGE ...
English Conversation About COLLEGE LIFE - TALKING ABOUT A PROFESSOR
These days, women are bagging awards not for what they possess but for the values they can give, and Miss Samantha Lazarus is one woman who you can’t ignore when it comes to swimming in the ocean of awards or deserving compliments.
I was privileged to attend her English class in the Springsgates grammar school and was buoyed by how organized she was in dishing out values. I felt I learnt more on packaging and organization during the English class than the English and writing she taught us with utmost diligence.

AN ENCOUNTER WITH MY ENGLISH TEACHER BY John Ogah

Her English classes were just packaged in gold and handed out to students. By the time you attend her classes you will definitely know this woman means business.
Three leadership attributes I noticed in her were: Delegation, commitment and communication. A leader who can possess these attributes, certainly possess the skill to achieve his or her achievement despite daunting challenges.
Don’t be blown by her beauty, she is as tough as Mount Everest. She is a woman of discipline and order.
Miss Samantha has been able to express her voice through her knowledge. She saw a problem and went out to learn the solutions required for that problem. Now she’s in hot demand.
We do have many women out there whose voices have not yet been heard. They would have to first look for what they could do and develop it into something that can be taught.
In one of my articles on “Be a woman” series, I cited how — when it comes to women fighting unfavorable mindsets against them, they can only change certain ideologies against them not through words but by actions backed up by productive results.
Margaret Thatcher, Mary Selessor, Mother Theresa and Ngozi Okonjo Iweala would never have changed the ideology that women can’t become leaders if they talked alone. They could only change that by their productive actions.
In essence, unfortunately and fortunately, for a woman to thrive in our world, she needs results to prove her existence. This should not be seen as a curse but as a blessing in disguise. WOMEN SHOULD LEARN TO USE THE STANDARDS PLACED AGAINST THEM TO BECOME A STANDARD OF MEASURING SUCCES (culled from ‘Be a Business Ngozi’ – John Ogah).
Miss Samantha has been able to break stereotypes by been a motivation to young women and young girls that gender does not determine or limit productivity.
I do believe her greatest achievement is not the number of awards she has gotten but the number of people she can raise to be just like herself or greater than herself. This is the true definition of success: “Living and leaving a legacy.’ you have never truly succeed until people are able to find their path to purpose through yours.
If you are a woman and you are reading this, never underestimate your gender. God created each of us uniquely.
As far as He made an order on who should lead and who should follow, He did not place a limit on how much they should become. There is always more.
Tell yourself these words: “There is no limit to who I can become. I am a woman and I give life to whatever is given to me. Whatever is placed in my hands cannot die because the source of life dwells in me. I can’t fail, because I come from a tribe that sees success as a lifestyle.”
Be a woman.
May the Spirit of Wisdom guide you.
